What is up with all the 500 errors?
I’ve installed this thing normally. I havn’t done anything crazy.
Is there some magic potion I have to sprinkle over my keyboard?

They do seem to have stopped now. I still don’t know what all the trouble was.

Yes, you DO have to sprinkle magic potions.
I’ve had troubles with Rails installations on Dreamhost since they use Apache and fcgi. lighttpd is much more reliable with fcgi.
In the meantime, you can install a cron to kill your dispatch.fcgi’s hourly so they don’t turn into zombies.

I love unix. I love that you can do crazy stuff like schedule monster destruction just by typing.
